Snorkel – Automated sample repository system

The Snorkel range from Genepoint are laboratory freezers that log their inventory and use automation to store and retrieve/sort samples. There are 8 models available within the range that are separated on the basis of

1. Temperature range: -10^oC to -40^oC or -50^oC to -80^oC
2. Capacity (square box, 2ml tubes):   up to 39,000 or up to 63,000
3. With tube sorting or without tube sorting

Some feature highlights for the range are:

• LIMS compatible and on instrument UI based advanced sample management software
• Backup compressors
• Dehumidification system
